about the role
Cloud Architect will lead and deliver hands-on, business-oriented strategic and technical consulting to our clients for cloud infrastructure, automation solutions and solution architecture.
key responsibilities
Individuals in this role will partner with Google Cloud or AWS team and Searce Cloud Consulting teams to:

Lead pre-sales & generate intelligent & better outcomes for our clients: Whiteboard client's current infrastructure environment and propose architectural solutions to help move & improve infra from on-premise to cloud.

Propose solutions to optimise cloud spend from one public cloud to the other.

Be the first one to experiment on new age cloud offerings, help define the best practises for cloud, automation & Dev-Ops, be a solution visionary and technology expert across multiple channels.

Continually augment skills and learn new tech as the technology and client needs evolve.

Use your experience in Google cloud platform, AWS or Microsoft Azure to build hybrid-cloud solutions for customers. Define reusable components, frameworks, common schemas, standards & tools to be used.

Manage project teams, and facilitate the definition of project deliverables around core Cloud based technology and methods.

Define tracking mechanisms and ensure IT standards and methodology are met; deliver quality results.

Participate in technical reviews of requirements, designs, code and other artifacts
Contribute to SoWs, technical project roadmaps, etc required for successful execution of projects leveraging Technical Scoping & Solutioning approach.

Do you love automating everything possible leveraging Python / Powershell / Bash?

This is a technology leadership position that challenges the client status quo by re-imagining the art of the possible.

preferred qualifications

8 - 10 years of experience with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Computing (AWS/GCP/Azure) and IT operational experience in a global enterprise environment

DevOps experience required. Containers, Docker, Kubernetes (or equivalent) and using these technologies for the architecture of multi-region, load-balanced resilient microservices type platforms

RedHat / Centos or Ubuntu / Debian - RHCE or equivalent desirable - Strong Linux skills. Windows Server (desirable - not mandatory)

Deep knowledge in one or more of the following: Ansible, Puppet or Chef

Patch management (RHN Satellite, Spacewalk, yum, WSUS etc)

Excellent Networking, VPN and firewall knowledge especially for VPC type deployments

Deep understanding of the Non Functional Requirements (NFRs) of projects and how Platform architecture can make systems secure, resilient and performant

Hardened operating systems / security concerns, bastions, DMZs

Good analytical, communication, problem solving, and learning skills

Knowledge on programming on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and lean development methodologies
